August Girl's Lunch

We had such a fun August girl's lunch at BriAnne's mom's house. Thanks again to everyone who could come! We were so happy to see those of you who were in town for a few days pay us a visit too! What a treat! The food was great! I can't believe how much everyone's babies have grown too!

Look at all of the cute little Mommies and their babies!!!!

Many of us brought old pictures from highschool and junior high and we had fun remember the good times! And the winner of the most embarrasing, awkward, and funny picture goes to...Hawli for bringing this doozy of a picture. I have to point out that we all have Winnie the Pooh stickers on, and Shannon went to the bathroom and threw up in the bathroom immediately following the picture. She looks a little pale...

Love ya girls!

Hate your drab bathroom mirror?

I saw this idea on a fellow scrapbloggers website http://ameubanks.wordpress.com/tag/interior-design/ and I think it is a adorable idea! They no longer appreciated their bathroom mirror which was stuck to the wall in a flat, boring sort of way (like mine is) so they hung another well-frame mirror by knob and ribbon and added a special look to the bathroom. What a creative, but cheap way to doll up a space! I'm totally doing this! You can too. :)

Primary Activity Day Carnival

This was my first offical primary activity day to plan so I was a little stessed and nervous that it would all go well, but it was a big hit! We had hot dogs, all sorts of booths, a magician, a bounce house and a cake walk at the end. It was so rewarding seeing all of the kids have so much fun!

Life's good!

We taught Ethan how to clap this week! He's so proud of himself when he claps, he looks around to make sure everyone saw him. I love this new 'monkey see, monkey do' stage!Okay so I love giving Ethan foods that he can hold himself and snack on, but heaven sakes, these cookies are so messy! I have to hold him over the sink to wash him off I loved this picture of him with the smash of cookie in his hand!

I know, I know, kind of a slinky picture. Okay, so I like to watch Tyra on her talkshow and I always pause it if I have to get up and do something so I can come back where I left off, well I just happened to pause it while she was doing her 'so what' speech and she was just trying to emphasize her point. Tyra, love ya, but FYI, #1 your face looks like you're constipated, #2 your busoms don't need anymore emphasis!

It's SOOOO HOT!

It's Soooo Hot Here!
The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
The trees are whistling for the dogs.
The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.
You can make sun tea instantly.
You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
The temperature drops below 95 F (35 C) and you feel a little chilly.
You discover that in July it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.
You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
You actually burn your hand opening the car door.
You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m.
Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper. and of course Sour Cream, diced onions and a few serving spoons of Chile
Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.
The cows are giving evaporated milk.

I got this as a forward from a friend and it's so true!

8 months already!

Hello!
Here are some recent pictures of Ethan at 8 months! Time really flies by! He's rolling all around, eating people food, and loving his first hot hot hot summer. I can't wait till fall because it seems like right now, there's nothing you can do outside during the day but swim. And Ethan loves to be outside! Ahhh, any other moms know what I'm saying? Anyway, thanks for looking at all of my scrapblogs, I'm trying to win a contest so I have them all on my blog to get the most 'views' possible. I get to remove them July 17th.

Lately Joe loves to throw Ethan over his shoulder and say, "Here's my Sack O' Potatoes!" Ethan loves it. It helps Ethan get rid of unwanted baby gas too! :)

God bless the USA

"Duty. Honor. Country. Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn." General Douglas MacArthur (1880 - 1964) Address to the cadets of the U.S. Military Academy in accepting the Thayer Award, May 12, 1962
Happy 4th everyone!

Okay so we all got together at Grandma's house for some pictures! Just imagine the chaos!
It was nice to spend time with Joe's friends. I love their wives!
All of the sisters in law!
I thought Ethan would fall off the swing for sure! Nervous wreck!

Hello St. George!

I got a new calling! I'm in the primary presidency as the first counselor. I can't wait! I've been teaching my little 5 year olds so I'm sad to leave them, but I love all of the kids!

ALSO right after I got called, we left for St. George for the week.

This is one of the many adorable pictures we took there! BUT my computer is running so slow right now that it would take FOREVER for me to post them so this should wet your palette at least! More to come!

Peanuts and Crackerjacks!

Ethan had his first Dbacks experience! He loved watching all the different things going on of course and by the end he was asleep! :)

I got together with Shan while she was in town for Christian's farewell! Those boys grew up so fast!

We went to this Bass pro shop place. It was like Disneyland for men, and I had the best time too! There's a waterfall, fishtanks, shooting gallery, fudge shops, and all the outdoor stuff you'd ever want! It's even better than Cabella's!
